The development of an effective, globally accessible HIV cure would be a massive achievement capable of transforming millions of lives for the better. It represents the next step forward from antiretroviral therapy, which has already had profound effects in terms of reducing morbidity, mortality and transmission. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to collaborate with other CAB members to provide input into the work of DARE, and help provide reality-based information on the state of the science and prospects for progress to the wider community and public.
