Cipriano Martinez

Cipriano Martinez has been actively engaged in the Australian HIV response since his 1993 HIV diagnosis. His passion for HIV prevention and peer support guided a long-term collaboration with Australian HIV sector agencies like, the West Australian AIDS Council, the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations and the National Association of People Living with HIV Australia (NAPWHA).

 

As the current President of NAPWHA, he was part of the official Australian delegation attending the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Meeting on Ending AIDS 2016, the Political Declaration on HIV and AIDS called for urgent action over the next five years to ensure that no one is left behind as we continue concerted efforts to end HIV by 2030.

 

He holds qualifications in Commerce (Economics & Finance) and Graduate Diploma in Health Economics from Curtin University. He received his Graduate Diploma in Education from Edith Cowan University. He defines success in life by a shared legacy of love to one another.
